Hi my name is Jonathan

I make various Christian based art with the ultimate purpose to lead people to the truth of God's word. Jesus spoke many parables (fictional stories used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson), and so I aim to do like-wise through the modern method of comics & animation.

Before someone comes to that point they have to start somewhere. I aim to be something of that starting point through the method of entertainment; planting seeds of thought to prompt people to think deeper and consider the truth. Entertainment can vary (drama, comedy, informative etc) but ultimately I have the above mentioned goal in mind.

There is also the added benefit of encouragement to believers. Filling your mind with God honouring thoughts/entertainment and/or encouraging my brothers and sisters to continue living for Christ not ourselves.

I am usually the only one involved in the creation process, so outside feedback is great. Also at the end of the day all of my efforts are of no value unless God speaks to peoples hearts and minds so prayer is essential. Furthermore I need prayer to continue on with these cartoons (unless God doesn’t want me to make them anymore). Prayer for Godly direction, motivation and wisdom.

Finances

I still use Adobe Illustrator cs6 on a 12 year old Macbook so I keep costs down to a minimum. My time is the biggest cost, with each comic averaging 7 hours of drawing time. This does not include the time it takes developing the idea and researching it further to do my best to make it align with Biblical teachings.
